DUBAI, 12th September, 2025 (WAM) -- Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, affirmed that investing in human capital is a strategic priority for Dubai Police.
He noted that the General Department of Human Resources is the backbone of the policing system, responsible for attracting, developing, and empowering personnel and ensuring their readiness to meet evolving challenges, in line with the leadership's vision to reinforce Dubai's standing as a safe, globally leading city.
Al Marri stated that the Department has kept pace with rapid developments through distinctive initiatives and continually renewed projects that have improved the work environment, raised employee happiness, and embedded a culture of teamwork.
He added, "We believe that investing in people is an investment in the institution's future and in community safety. We will continue to support our employees and harness the latest technologies, foremost artificial intelligence, to enhance HR processes for faster delivery and higher efficiency."
The remarks came during his annual inspection of the General Department of Human Resources, accompanied by Major General Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs, Brigadier Rashid Nasser Rashid, Director of the General Department of Human Resources, and a number of senior officers.
Al Marri reviewed strategic performance indicators, future projects, and institutional assessment results, which have recorded notable improvement. He confirmed that these outcomes reflect a sound approach that places people at the centre of success and sustained leadership.
He also received a briefing on achievements that culminated in winning 17 local and international awards in innovation and talent empowerment, in addition to projects that deploy robotics and artificial intelligence to simplify procedures, thereby raising efficiency and reducing time and effort.
The visit covered police-readiness statistics for 2024, career-path plans, jobs of the future, and academic and research programmes. It also highlighted community-oriented initiatives such as the Employee Happiness Strategy that fosters a positive, motivating workplace.
At the conclusion of the visit, Lt. Gen. Al Marri honoured a number of distinguished employees, praising their dedication and contributions. He reaffirmed that Dubai Police places its people at the heart of its strategies and believes that investing in human beings is investing in the future.
